Instead of ending the listing and then recreating it when the inventory arrives, this feature hides the listing from search. This feature is useful for a seller who is waiting for additional stock of an item with the same ItemID. This enables them to replenish stock for the same ItemID, without the need to relist it when the item is back in stock. OutOfStockControlPreference sellers can keep their GTC (Good 'Til Canceled) items alive, even when the quantity goes down to zero. For details about the changes, seeĨ95 Release Changes Out-of-Stock Feature Overview SetUserPreferences.OutOfStockControlPreference, which changes this feature from being set on individual items to a seller preference that applies to all their listings. Some people may well say "That's too far-fetched - that would never happen", but as we've all seen over the years, eBay don't give a toss what their customers think so I wouldn't rule it field was deprecated and replaced by If eBay do ever overstep the mark to that extent then I'll be closing my eBay account for good, and I would imagine that a significant number of other sellers who feel that eBay have gone too far may well feel inclined to do the same if a situation arose whereby there was no option to stop eBay interfering with their listings. That's the best possible option at the moment, as it's currently the only way to have complete control over your listings without any unwanted interference from eBay, but knowing eBay it probably won't be too long before they start tampering with the Advanced Selling Form as well, thus creating the situation whereby sellers do not have the option of being able to decide which of the different options they do and do not want on their listings, regardless of the listing form they choose to set up their listings. The only way too get through to them (possibly) is to stop them doing it by changing listing form to the one where they have even less control. Especially when the seller has removed the feature once and so indicated that they do not want it. The only way too get through to them (possibly) is to stop them doing it by changing listing form to the one where they have even less quite agree with you, ebay has no business adding things to listings. Likewise using the "Tell Us What You Think" button. It hasn't mattered how many sellers, or buyers moan about it on however many threads, ebay has ignored them.

Now it's more likely to indicate that they either don't know how or can't be bothered to remove it. It used to indicate that a seller had an interest in offers.

I speak as a seller who used to use BO on selected items with some success and no longer use it at all since ebay has now made it useless. It allows ebay to claim that YOU are choosing to use the feature when in fact you are not. Making it a default setting instead of the optional extra it has always been is simply underhanded and part of the smoke and mirrors trickery that increasingly pervades ebay. I quite agree with you, ebay has no business adding things to listings. So I say PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE,give eBay all the problems to deal with There is no way to turn Auto Relist off on the App,so I ring eBay every day,and ask them to remove Auto Relist from the Items i have ending that night, they do this, tonight for some reason i had 48 items Auto Relist,so when/if this happens, I use Have eBay Call Me Back and get them to remove all Auto Relisted items, and give me back any charges incurred, I realise this is a pain, but as far as I can see,the whole system is a pain/shambles at the moment When Relisting Items, don't use Relist, use Sell Similar on your item, and then untick Best Offer in the Price box,and either save for Later or List it I have been having a nightmare with eBay with all this for the past month or so, there was another Discussion going on about this, but it was closed down due to arguing and some personal remarksĪnyway, I list generally about 500-600 Items a week, I definitely don't want Auto Relist as I add new items every day,and just top them up to a 100 with unsold items,to stop Or Best Offer when Listing the item, when you have set your price, and come out of the price screen, wait a Couple of seconds and you will see the best offer then appear,it is generally half the price, except on items £1.99,and then no Or Best Offer is Applied,so go back into The Price and just untick Best Offer
